Hi,

I'm selling my XJ900S.  Has had a total of 2 owners.   Bought new by my son-in-law back in '95 and when he gave up riding, i bought her as my first bike.  Unfortunately i didn't realize i wouldn't be able to ride her (licencing) so she's not had much of a run and mostly been garaged (occasional outing).

She's been well maintained and has mostly done freeway miles between Sydney and Newcastle.  Comes  with rego till Dec 09.  I will be selling with a RWC and there is nothing more needing to be done to ride away. I had the bike shipped to Brisbane about 1.5 years ago and paid for a bunch of work to be done including:

New front tyre
New rear tyre
New front/back brake rotors/pads

She's only done about 2000km since then.

To pass the roadworthy i've had

New fork seals
Seat reupholstered
High beam bulb replaced

Receipts for all work done will be provided.

The only modifications made have been:

Gearsack rack and bag fitted
Staintune mufflers have replaced original ones - sound way nicer!

Being a shaft drive, she's very smooth to ride, especially for someone doing longer commuting (e.g more than the 10km each way i do every day) or wanting to go on longer (200-500km+) rides.  The upright seating position is very comfortable and overall she's just fun to ride.

I'm selling as i've been riding a 250cc and i have decided when i get my open licence to get something not too much bigger as i don't ride long enough distances to want a big bike.  If you are looking for a bigger, more comfortable sporty tourer please have a look at this bike.  If you are wanting a clip on, lay flat tyre abuser then this is probably not the bike for you..

Please be aware of the following:

The fuel gauge doesn't work.  I've never bothered with fixing it and it should be an easy fix with a roundtuit. 

Also, comes with a brand new Haynes manual - i was intending to do all the basic servicing myself and this manual tells you how to replace just about everything on the bike (with pictures!)

I'll consider test rides if you bring your own safety gear and are prepared to leave a suitable deposit - please don't waste my time or yours if you aren't really interested in this bike as i reserve the right to refuse test pilots.   I believe this is the best value XJ900S for sale in QLD.
