We are listing a 1995/1996 Holden Rodeo Dual Cab Rodeo. (Is on Ebay)

The build date is December 1995 and was first registered in June 1996 (original sales receipt)

I will do my best to describe it as comprehensively as possible, listing both the good and bad points. I have driven it a fair amount over the past week, using it as a work vehicle. First things first, I will list the standard factory features and the factory options.

- Automatic transmission
- 2.6 Litre 4ZE1 Isuzu engine

- 4x2
- Air conditioning
- Power steering
- Chrome bumpers

Extras/modifications that have been added

- Pioneer head unit
- Alpine speakers
- 100w Bass Cannon Amplifier
- Lowered all round approximately 60mm

- Steal stopper Immobilizer/alarm (Deluxe model)
Interior

The interior I would rate as well above average. Seats are in excellent condition. Dash has no cracks. Roof lining has a small 12cm tear above drivers seat but this could easily be sewn/glued up. Sound system comprises of a Pioneer head unit, Alpine speakers and 100w amplifier. I am no audio expert but it's very loud and really pumps through the bass. Air conditioning works but as it hasn't been used regularly for quite a while it takes quite a while to get cold and a re-gas may be in order at sometime in the near future.

Exterior

The colour is cream/white. Paint is quite good considering with little evidence of fading and no paint cracking. There is no known accident history on this vehicle. This has been used as a work vehicle but is surprisingly straight. Like most utes the tailgate has a couple of minor dents and some scratches (see photos). The passenger side C pillar also has a couple of minor dents (see picture). The driver’s door has a dent but judging by the shape and location I suspect it will pop out fairly easily. Bonnet has some light hail damage but they are not deep. If used as a work car I wouldn't worry about replacing it, but if you are fussy I have obtained a quote for $88 for a straight second hand bonnet. I can give you this quote if wanted. There are some scratches present as per usual. Petrol flap has been removed by a previous owner. Please note that I have listed all this for the sake of being thorough but considering it has been used as a work vehicle it isn't bad and I have seen much worse around!

Engine/Gearbox/Exhaust

Engine is the (almost) unbreakable 4ZE1 Isuzu 2.6L petrol. These motors are absolute gems and seem to last forever and a day. There are no issues that I can immediately think of. Starts first time, every time. I had it up in Tenterfield recently with some minus 6 degree 6am starts and it started as if it was a 30 degree summers day. Does not use any oil!! Exhaust is standard and is in good condition through it's entirety. Some months ago the gearbox was replaced with a second hand unit (mount was also replaced at this time). Fairly recently it has been temperamental, particularly on cold starts. It holds onto gears longer than normal, particularly first gear when cold. Once warmed up it performs close to normal operation with a slight tendency to still hold gears a little too long but not noticeably. I am not familiar with auto boxes but I have been told it's fairly common with these boxes and it could be as simple as a kick down cable adjustment or an auto trans service ($120 or so) although I cannot confirm that either of these will remedy it. When cold the issue is simply tackled by accelerating as per normal and manually backing off the accelerator when you wish for it to change gears. It can be a bit of a pain until the box warms up, but performs well after then with no slipping. Worst case scenario would be a new box, but second hand boxes are fairly inexpensive.

Brakes/Tyres/Suspension

The front tyres are near new, rears will need replacing in the near future. Braking is good with no problems in the time that I have driven it. As mentioned, car is lowered all round on lowering blocks and these drop the car by approximately 60mm. The shocks have recently been done also.

Extra Information

The Rodeo is currently registered in QLD until mid January 2010. It also has a current safety certificate. Since a lot of people asked in my previous auction, a safety certificate is the same as a roadworthy certificate and it is compulsory for registration transfer in QLD. Be wary of buying cars without a safety certificate because even though they may seem like a good buy it can cost thousands in repairs as these checks are quite comprehensive.

We are located in North side of Brisbane close to the Pick and Pay Hypermarket. Just over an hour (25 mins) from Brisbane CBD. If you cannot pick the car up yourself i may be able to assist with freighting the car at your expense but please make enquiries prior to bidding to discuss cost an so on. This auction has no set reserve price but be aware that it is advertised elsewhere and should it sell prior to the end of the auction it will obviously be withdrawn. Dealers still ask in the region of $7000 for dual cab TF's so grab a bargain while you can.

Payment terms are cash on pick up or direct bank deposit. Payment and collection within 3 days of auction end unless otherwise arranged. Viewing can be arranged most days and all questions are welcome and will be answered promptly, I can personally answer questions about offers and vehicle history as I am the owner.
