Hey,
I'm putting together a group for Latin Percussionists and Cuban Percussionists over the next month, to meet, and jam, share instruements, rythms, rudiments, feel and Technique. We'll be looking for people who are starting to get pretty good, not really beginners (sorry guys) however if anyone feels they could be too advanced and still wants to join, they are more than welcome. When i say no begginers i do mean this though, if you can bash out a few rythms and keep it up, merge time signatures, and those rythms, then you are not a beginer. Anyway, enough about my facist entry requirements. My name is Aren, 21, studying, I've been playing off and on for about 5 years, but i'm looking to get back into it, i have a set of Gope bongos my brother brought me from brazil, but i started on congas and was alot better with them. however i've got the whole technique down, and know all of my latin rudiments, and some pretty cool perversions of them. I also have a few odds and ends like percussion cups and shakers. Also a few guitars, and a sax, if we get into that. So anyway, i'm getting a site for us to meet in up over the next few weeks, and am looking for a good jam location, though depending on where everyone lives it'll probaby change.
