I confess that I don't get women. I don't say it in a whining way ("Women! They're all crazy! Who could understand them"). No; I have sadly been born without that crucial part of a male brain that can relate to women. Those who get to know me like me for my intelligence, my sense of humour, they think I'm a nice guy, but I can't translate any of it into success with women. I'm just don't seem to be interesting enough, not charming enough, can't say the right words, can't do the right things, I can't "read" women, I can't pick up the signs - I simply can't successfully interact with women. When I'm in a room I feel like I'm invisible; I'm the last person women pay attention and talk to, and the few that do don't last - whether it's in person or online: sooner or later they all drop off suddenly and I have no idea why. I'm in my mid-30 with one failed long-term relationship under by belt, and little prospects. I see couples everywhere, men and women constantly pairing up, splitting up and pairing up again; all my friends are in relationships except those who choose to be single, and here I am, completely ignored by women and completely unable to attract their attention and to think of me as a man, like any other, a potential boyfriend, partner, and not a piece of furniture. I believe I'm completely unique - I know hundreds of people and no one who shares my predicament; and I've never heard or read of anyone who was just as not normal in this regard as I am. So if anyone out there has some spare Emotional Intelligence, a successful transplant is my only hope.
