Hi, my name is matt. i am 35 years old and have been involved in the entertainment industry on and off for all my life. i play guitar amongst other things and am looking for musicians/singers to form a band.
We would be playing approximately 90% classic covers of all genres. (this is to establish gigs in the beggining. we would practise and have a huge repetoir. (this is to have enough popular songs that we can play, to play to what the crowd wants to hear or are dancing to.)
Nobody wants to hear a boring band! 10% of songs would be our own origonal that we the band have written. (if we start getting popular and gigs are flowing we can increase our percentage of origonals.
I am asking for committed people ONLY. we need to practise atleast 3 to 4 days per week as a band.
If you are a drummer but don't currently have a drum kit... no problem, i have one.
If you are a saxaphone player but don't currently have a sax... no problem, i have one.
if you are a guitarist and don't currently have one... no problem... i have 2 spare.
My instruments don't leave the house without me by the way.
This band would suit people whom love music... IT IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK BAND OR PIPE DREAM BAND.
I have plans to get gigs in Asia after we have had successful gigs at home. So basically this would suit semi retired people, people who have an income without having to be at work or people who get a few months off work each year. (this is for the future of course).
I don't want any hero's who start playing their own thing when the band is trying to practise our song list.
This band is for the love of music and also lifestyle. play 3 months in asia each year and enjoy your life whilst there.
