Ladybirds & Dragonflies Childminding Service was established in 2005, demand for our services has increased during this time and we are now looking for additional staff carers to assist with local families childminding needs from babysitting to regular weekly care.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be required to assist families with their childcare needs generally within their own home, or at their place of accommodation. You may be required to care for up to 5 children at any one time in a sole charge capacity. Your duties will be varied, assistance with the daily routine may include schoool drop off/pick up, taking children to playgroup or on outings, nappy changes, bottles, preparing meals, or supervising children during the evening in a parents absence
QUALITIES
The staff carers we are looking for will posess a love of children, be available to work flexible hours (some jobs may be 3 hours in length, others overnight), have proven experience caring for children (forma qualifications not required), be reliable and responsible adults, and be able to work unsupervised.
HOURS
You will be able to nominate your availabile hours on a monthly basis. This makes it an ideal position which can be worked around existing full time or part time employment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Staff carers employed by LDCS will be covered by public liability insurance and workcover. If you do not hold a current formal qualification within the childcare industry it will be a requirement of your employement to enrol in formal training within 6 months of beginning work with our company, with the only exception to this being if you are a parent yourself. You will be paid a weekly wage based on the number of hours worked with your rate of pay reflective on your level of qualification within the childcare industry.
PARENT CARERS
LDCS offeres parents the opportunity to return to the workforce by allowing our staff carers to attend bookings with their own child. Please ask for more details on this option when enquiring as to employment with our service.
